HaiNan Western Food @ Mount Erskine 槟城白云山海南西餐

Hai Nan Western Food is quite famous in Penang. If you are craving for western food desperately, but do not wish to burn a hole in your pocket, I recommend you to pay them a visit.
Hai Nan Western Food is located at Mount Erskine, it is easy to find as they are just located by the roadside. The main attraction here is they serve a large variety of cheap and delicious western food: pork chop, chicken chop, lamb chop and etc. A highly recommended place by locals. This place had even appeared in several local TV shows. Thus, this stall is currently enjoying the endless stream of customers.

Thank god! The chefs here are in quick-action, our meals arrived in just 20 minutes.

HAH... another special thing about this stall. Nowadays, soft drinks are mostly found in aluminium cans. However, you can still find KICKAPOO in glass bottles here. These were totally awesome for collection, I brought 2 back home.

RM2.50 for a bowl of hot creamy mushroom soup, it's totally worth it.

Grilled Chicken
Totally well-grilled. But you should try out their chicken cordon bleu. It was totally awesome with the amazing combination of hot cheese in it.

Grilled Lamb Chop
The mint sauce goes perfectly with it. RM12 is totally a budget price for that.

Chicken Cordon Bleu
This was my first time to try this out. I actually loved chicken maryland the most, but after seeing this on the TV show, I decided to give it a try! The cheese in the centre sprut out in no time when I took my first bite. And this only cost me RM 7.50, extremely cheap right?!

Chicken Chop
Chicken chop with mouth-watering gravy. The gravy was thick, well-prepared and flavourful! RM 6.50 for this plate. My friend actually wanted to lick up all the remainding gravy, but we stopped her from doing so as we finished it together with our French fries.

The food looks good. Must ask my cousin to take me there when I'm in Penang. I love Kickapoo too, it has been years since I've had it. No such drink in Sydney.

this place is cheap and good but a bit too commercialised dee compare to last time and sometime you need to wait for very long time for your food.

Wow, from the photos I can see that the portion of food serve is rather large. The chicken cordon bleu definitely looks tempting. Would wish to check this place out... But it's in Penang, a bit far!

I wanted to go there in my trip to Penang but I just couldn't locate it. >.<

Oh well, guess I'd go hunt for it next time when I'm on the island again. =P
