KL Loh Mee吉隆坡滷麵 - Hwa Lam Coffee Shop华南茶室 @ Lebuh Carnavon
Loh Mee is one of Penang's famous hawker food. Available in a mouth-watering taste at almost every corner of Penang. However, have you ever tried before KL Loh Mee?? This cannot be found so easily! Feeling curious?! You may drop by the Hwa Lam Coffee Shop at Lebuh Carnavon (opposite Pragin Mall) to get a bowl of them.

When comparing those Penang Loh Mee with this KL Loh Mee, you will find that although they are considered as the same family, they have extremely different "personalities". Penang Loh Mee is served in precooked starchy broth, garnished with a variety of options, eg. hard boiled eggs, chicken leg, mushrooms and pork intestines. On the other hand, KL Loh Mee is served with dark starch broth which has black vinegar in it and each bowl is cooked seperately with egg added in the broth and a little seafood, such as prawn, fish and fish cake slices.

Preparing to work~~~

After waiting impatiently for 15 minutes, my medium-sized KL Loh Mee was finally presented in pipping-hot broth. I accidentally burnt my lips when I was in a hurry to gobble them up!!
Hokkien Char 福建炒
Not only are they famous for KL Loh Mee, Hokkien Char is one of their specialties too! I simply love the big and fresh prawns (as shown in the picture above) and the crispy fried onions which I always ask for more~~~
I have been visiting this stall for more than 10 years already and they never ever gave me the slightest dissappointment. Establish since 1994, this KL Loh Mee stall is always enjoying endless stream of customers. Words are hard to explain my KL Loh Mee experience there, want to know more?! Just pay them a visit during your next dinner, I believe you will leave the table satisfied.

I still like my normal Penang Loh Mee. With plenty of raw garlics and shallots oil.

Yes, should give it a try. And if you love vinegar, add some would make it more tasteful.

We have loh mee here in Jakarta but then I'm not so sure what's make the difference between those loh mee (meant the originality).

penang's loh mee is also very nice, one of my favourite hawker food. But, sometimes I need something different to "balance up" my tastebuds!! hahaha
just give it a try and you will know the truth~~~~
i used to like the lor mee but with the aliens serving the food, so unhygienic, their fingers touch the food while serving to us.Bah kee not used to be like those days made by the old aunty.food operator must always check the hygiene of their food.kopitiam lady boss always spitting onto the street!!!

well, i cant deny the fact that you had stated there. yet, for me, i choose not to bother so much. cos most of the times, behind the scenes will appear to be gruesome. and who know's what happens BTS in 5 star restaurants' kitchens. i choose to just enjoy the food ONLY IF i don't get food poisoning after that, the condition's still bearable :pppp
