甜品哥哥 Hong Kong @ SS2/63, Petaling Jaya

What's better than having dessert after lots of shopping at night?! Well, this wasn't entirely my idea, but was my friend's and my daughter's idea XD

My pregnant friend has become quite a serious dessert-lover lately, she keeps craving for yummy cold desserts and she blames that on her getting-bigger-and-bigger-tummy ......I'm totally speechless, but as a sweet tooth, I have no objections against desserts.

At first we were planning to go to Coffee Bean for some cream cakes, however, the huge crowd of this small cozy dessert place caught our attention.

People lining up in front of the restaurant waiting to be seated, waiters rushing around with bowls of yummy-looking desserts in their trays, customers enjoying their tantalizing desserts.......

Seems like this new place is a perfect hangout for youngsters and friends even though it was nearly 10pm, it was still having an endless stream of customers. "It never hurts to try something new and special right?!" We got ourselves seated immediately because there was only 3 of us.

Black Sesame + Almond Sweet Soup
A hot and creamy sesame soup. Just to have some contrast with the kiwi sago and the mango with noodles (see below) as those two were cold ones. Need something to warm us up!

Walnut + Almond Sweet Soup
As good as the black sesame. Warm, sweet and creamy. Matched my taste for dessert!

Sago with Kiwi Fruit

I am a huge fan of mango sago but i finally ordered this kiwi sago because of my curiosity. And I regretted it in the end. The kiwi fruit itself was ok, but i couldn't stand the strong taste of santan (coconut milk). I guessed they had put too much in it and it made you a little thirsty after eating.

Mango with Noodles
This is one of their specialties. One new special dish to us. Mango with noodles (the noodles referred is actually "hor fun"). I loved it, this was something that you couldn't find in ordinary places. See~pulling up the long noodles was a fun thing to do. My friend started goofing around with my girl by pulling the noodles here and there~!

YO! Suhi @ Pavilion, KL

I seldom spend my weekends in KL. Well, this time it is not the same anymore, due to business matter, I was in KL last Saturday and Sunday. "It's a great time to do some shopping! Since you seldom stay in KL during the weekends, we might as well go out for some shopping!", my friend pointed out.

Eventually, we went to Pavilion in KL. Christmas is around the corner and upon entering the mall, we were all stunned by the perfectness of the Christmas deco. You may find reindeer, santa, tall christmas trees and lots of wonderful cute ornaments hanging around.

Unfortunately, Isetan wasn't having any great offer and there was nothing "interesting" to eat in the food court downstairs. So, we ended up having lunch at a Japanese restaurant called YO! Sushi.

The concept of YO! Sushi is quite similar with the concept of Sushi King. There's a moving carousel with a large spread of delectable sushi.

Salmon - RM6
Finely sliced salmon.

Crispy Salmon Skin - RM2
Lighty salted, crisp grilled salmon skin and spring onion.

I love this dish, actually I just grabbed it from the carousel when it nearly got away just because of its unique colour. I can never believe that this is just RM2 for 2 pieces of that!! I should had grabbed another one but I couldn't find any again.

Assorted Nigiri - RM8 (3 in 1)
A fine selection of prawn, tuna and salmon.

Mushrooms - RM6
Wok fried enoki, shiitake and button mushrooms with crispy shallots.
Not bad but just quite banal. I prefer enoki (mushroom with butter sauce) rather than this.

Salmon - RM4
Salmon and wasabi.

Soft Shell Crab with Yuzu Tobiko - RM8
Tempura fried spft shell crab and Japanese prckes ISO with yuzu tobiki (fish roe) with sweet chili mayonnaise.

Hah~ this is a tricky one. Please take note if you are referring to the menu, this dish doesn't look like the one that appears in the menu. You have to take a closer look at the "merry-go-round~ing" dishes on the carousel, this dish might be able to catch your attention in no time. The eye catching bright yellow coloured dish is definetely something that has to be tried!!

Unagi Don - RM10
Rice, egg, onion, spring onion, unagi, donburi sauce.

I am always a huge fan of unagi. And this dish is certainly something that I can't afford to miss....RM10 for unagi rice, that's cheap enough! Personally, I had eaten unagi rice times before and I had paid RM10 for unagi rice in a Japanese restaurant. The cheapest that I had was from Jusco, RM7 ++ for that! :P

Steamed Egg Custard - Chawan Mushi - RM4
Delicious steamed egg custard with mushroom, crab meat and edamame.

Vege Katsu Don - RM8
Rice, egg, onion, shiitake mushrom, sweet potato, egg plant, asparagus, donburi sauce.

Miso Soup - RM4
A light soy bean broth with seafood tofu and spring onion.

Sorry.....No offense~ In my opinion, I don't think I will be going back to this restaurant again. Despite the few dishes that I like, there's not enough reason for second visit. Not bad all over, but just ordinary, with a capital D.
